RFR 251: The Game Changers – Fuelled by Fallacies with Steph Lowe & Kale Brock
In today’s episode Kale and I unpack the Game Changers, the latest Netflix piece that took seven years to create and has been taking the health and nutrition space by storm. You will learn the major fallacies of the film including cherry picked data, weak science and worse still, anecdotes that have no scientific basis whatsoever. You will learn why correlation does not equal causation – that just because largely plant based diets are found to be the healthiest, we cannot extrapolate this to mean that vegan diets are the healthiest. We also discuss food quality, saturated fat, dietary cholesterol and your long term health, how the brain does not have to rely solely on glucose as a fuel source, why carbohydrates are not the best fuel for endurance athletes, all about the Blue Zones and their answer to longevity and so much more.
